Installing Plantation Shutters.

Now that summer is nearly over you will be spending much more time in your home.  What better time to consider Plantation Shutters in your “plantation”?  What are plantation shutters?  They are a typical choice for kitchens and dining areas.  Before you decide on plantation vs. traditional shutters here is some more information.

A traditional shutter is the old style, 1 1/4 inch louvered shutter in a 3/4 thick frame. It was widely installed where windows were small.  Plantation shutters first got their name from the old Southern plantations.  The louvers used in the South were “wider” than traditional shutters and the shutters were put on the outside of the house.

The choice is yours, of course, but one choice you should definitely make is the right person to measure and install them.  That person is Colorado Springs interior design expert Brian Tucker.  Once you make the decision to remodel the inside of your home then the best decision you could possibly make is to call Brian at (719) 217-7931.
